Bank reconciliation and payment matching

Review the exceptions, not every transaction.

Aeglio connects bank activity to invoices, supplier expenses and reimbursements while keeping automated and manual decisions traceable.

Built for

Owners and finance users responsible for payment status and bank review.

The workspace is permission-protected and designed for quick, repeatable review without exposing banking data to regular employees.

How it works

One continuous process with a clear next step.

  1. Bring in the statement

Synchronize supported LHV statements or upload a CAMT bank report and review its account and date-range preflight.

  2. Normalize the transactions

Aeglio stores a consistent transaction record regardless of whether it arrived through a connection or file import.

  3. Generate match candidates

Amount, reference, dates, currency and counterparty context contribute to the ranked suggestions.

  4. Apply confident matches

A unique high-confidence candidate can be matched automatically when the team has enabled that behavior.

  5. Review the exceptions

Use filters, searchable targets, keyboard navigation, split allocations or irrelevance rules for the remaining items.

  6. Keep the result traceable

Payment records and immutable reconciliation events retain what was matched, ignored, restored or undone.

The real Aeglio workflow

Review each exception without losing the transaction list.

The bounded side panel keeps transaction facts, ranked candidates and actions together. Arrow keys move through the queue and the selected transaction always stays synchronized with the panel.

A practical example

An incoming payment has an exact amount, similar name and no competing invoice.

Aeglio explains each matching signal and recognizes the unique candidate as strong. If another invoice is nearly as plausible, the transaction remains in the review queue.

What Aeglio provides

Useful capability at every handover.

Each stage uses records already reviewed in the previous stage, so context stays connected.

LHV Connect synchronization

Request statements on a schedule and bring supported payment status back into Aeglio.

CAMT statement intake

Identify the statement account and preview file contents before committing the import.

Ranked match explanations

Show why a record is suggested instead of presenting an unexplained confidence score.

Fast side-panel review

Keep the selected transaction, candidates and actions visible in a bounded, scrollable panel.

Bulk irrelevance handling

Remove clearly unrelated transactions from the active queue without losing the ability to restore them.

Split and partial allocation

Allocate a transaction across supported records while preventing over-allocation and stale updates.

Human control

Automation handles only a unique, strong candidate.

Ambiguous matches stay in review. Users can inspect the evidence, choose another record, split the amount, ignore the transaction or undo a recent decision.

Questions about this workflow

Does Aeglio automatically match every transaction?
No. Automatic matching is limited to strong unique candidates and can be disabled for the connected LHV workflow.
Do I need a permanent bank connection?
No. You can upload a supported CAMT statement when a direct connection is unavailable or unnecessary.
Can a reconciliation decision be audited?
Yes. Reconciliation events record the actor and action and cannot be edited or deleted afterward.
