Connect an AI assistant to Aeglio
Use your assistant to find tasks, assign work and update business records without leaving your conversation.
The short answer
Add Aeglio as a remote MCP connection in your assistant, sign in with your existing Aeglio account and approve the team and permissions it needs. MCP lets your assistant use Aeglio tools on your behalf.
1. Add the Aeglio connection
Use an assistant that supports remote MCP connections and browser sign-in. In its connection settings, name the connection Aeglio and use the URL below. Copy the complete URL; it has no /mcp suffix.
You do not need a new Aeglio account or an API key.
https://mcp.aeglio.com
2. Choose your assistant
Select the assistant you use and follow its setup instructions. Then continue to the shared Aeglio sign-in step below.
Open Customize → Connectors, choose + Add → Add custom connector, and name it Aeglio. Paste the connection URL from step 1, continue and select Connect to sign in. Enable the connector in your conversation.
On ChatGPT web, open Plugins, select + → Add custom MCP server and name it Aeglio. Enter the connection URL from step 1 and choose OAuth authentication. Review the prompt, create the plugin and complete Aeglio sign-in.
If your interface uses Apps instead, open Settings → Apps → Create, enter the same URL, choose OAuth and scan the tools. Select Aeglio when starting your conversation.
Run these commands in your terminal, then complete the browser sign-in.
codex mcp add aeglio --url 'https://mcp.aeglio.com'
codex mcp login aeglio
Run this command in your terminal. Then open Claude Code, enter /mcp, select Aeglio and follow the authentication prompts.
claude mcp add --transport http aeglio 'https://mcp.aeglio.com'
In VS Code, open the Command Palette and run MCP: Add Server. Choose HTTP, paste the connection URL from step 1 and name the server aeglio. Choose where to save the configuration and complete the trust and sign-in prompts. Enable the Aeglio tools in your Copilot agent conversation.
Add the configuration below to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for all projects, or .cursor/mcp.json for the current project. If the file already contains servers, add aeglio inside its existing mcpServers object.
Open Cursor’s MCP settings under Customize, enable Aeglio and complete the browser sign-in. Use Aeglio from Agent chat.
{
"mcpServers": {
"aeglio": {
"url": "https://mcp.aeglio.com"
}
}
}
Run this command in your terminal. Then start Gemini CLI, enter /mcp auth aeglio and complete the browser sign-in.
gemini mcp add --transport http aeglio 'https://mcp.aeglio.com'
3. Sign in and choose access
Sign in on the Aeglio page with your usual account. If you are already signed in, review the app requesting access. Choose the team and the permissions you want to grant.
Start with read access if you only want to ask questions. Creating or editing tasks needs the corresponding write permissions. Your existing record permissions still apply. Sending, deleting and financial actions can change real records when you grant access.
Choose permissions here; no scope arguments are needed in commands or configuration files. To change access later, disconnect the app in your profile and connect it again.
4. Try a task workflow
Ask your assistant to use Aeglio explicitly. Include the project and person so it can find the right records. Review the result in Aeglio after a change.
- Show me overdue tasks in the Website project.
- Find the people I can assign to tasks in the Website project.
- Create a task called Review the homepage in the Website project and assign it to Anna.
- Show me the milestones for the Website project.
5. Manage or disconnect the app
Open Profile → Sessions & apps → Connected apps in Aeglio. You can review the connected app, its team and permissions, and disconnect it. Disconnecting stops future access; it does not undo changes already made.
If a connection fails, check that you used the complete URL and finished signing in. Missing tools can mean missing permissions. Reconnect to review your access.
